In 1971 Sam Peckinpah directed a movie name Straw Dog. This movie is based on Gordon William’s novel “The Siege of Trencher’s Farm”. The novel is basically a Psychological thriller novel. The story of this film is about a L.A. screenwriter David Sumner relocates with his wife to her hometown in the Deep South. Oscar-winning actor Cliff Robertson dies at 88

Cliff Robertson dies at 84

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Veteran actor Cliff Robertson, who won an Academy Award for his portrayal of a mentally disabled janitor in the movie "Charly," died on Saturday, according to news reports.
Robertson, who was 88, died at Stony Brook University Medical Center in New York from natural causes, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing family members.
The actor's official website carried the message "In loving memory" and noted the dates of his birth and death. A call to his publicist was not immediately returned.
Robertson's film career spanned more than 60 years. His last credited role was "Spider-Man 3" in 2007.
